My daughter has Asperger's (autism)and ice skating at the adult mornings is the only time she gets out of the house on her own and without these sessions she would be lost. She has even made some friends in which she wouldn't have otherwise had so for my daughter and others like her the day sessions are vital

People's jobs and sporting opportunities will be cut if the rink opening hours are reduced. British Ice Skating needs support and not impediments put in the way.

Don't shut the ice rink on weekdays- promote it so more people use it. What about school trips??

As a sixth former I spend a lot of time dedicated to my studies. Due to this I rarely have time to go skating and when I do it is always busy after school and because of the level skater that I am I struggle to practice all of my jumps and spins. Therefore I go in the school day for a morning patch where i can practice without a large risk of injuring someone and therefore less treatment has to be given by the NHS

I urge the council to reconsider their decision as closing the rink weekday mornings will hve a major impact on all available patch sessions which are already busy. It will be impossible to train.

The public skating sessions form part of the GOLD CARD benefits and a good number of serious skaters take advantage of public sessions.

My daughter couldn't return to skating after moving to senior school as training times were reduced, this will have a chronic effect on Telford elite skaters if they can't train in the morning or during the day to suit there studies. The government go on about obesity and excerise, yet they are cutting back on resources like this!

I believe closing the rink during the school day would not benefit anyone as some people that aren't at school are able to go during the day and when it is less full for example morning patch is brilliant for people who can't make it to 4 o'clock patch after school so I believe it would be ridiculous to close the rink during the school day

This would be devastating to ice skaters. It's an Olympic sport for goodness sake.

As a single working mother of 4 my morning off at the rink means the world. My excersize and social few hours.

Figure skating is dedication, early morning patch sessions are essential, they are also a major source of income for coaches. Adult skating should also be encouraged as a way to health and fitness. Jobs are threatened, all in all an appalling proposal.

Based on the limited information provided by the council, these changes will force me to give up ice skating, with many impacts, including impacting my health/fitness; losing the council nearly £1000 per year for my contract alone; my coach will lose income; staff may lose their jobs.

It would be a travesty if Telford were to lose these facilities. Skaters both bear and far rely on being able to use Telford Ice Rink.
We need everyone to support this facility.

My daughter has the membership at telford ice rink surely our monthly payments would be reduced with the limited ice time ?? also what happens to all the adult mornings ? Tots & school parties during the closed hrs ??
