Mountain bikes riding on unapproved trails have significantly degraded shell ridge open space. I would hate to see this spread.

Please post your research about erosion and flooding! Mountain bikers are the main group that does trail maintenance--cutting out trees, mitigating ruts, and controlling water erosion. Most hikers and equestrians think it's trail fairies doing that work.

How is it different from hiking trails and fireroads?

Do not let this go through. It will destroy the area, cause extra traffic in a small neighborhood, cause erosion and unnecessary flooding in winter. Very bad idea

Please do move forward on trail expansion. Love bikers. I'm a biker. But I respect this precious open space and there are plenty, and I mean plenty, of bike trails in WC, Laf, Orinda, Concord, PH, Oak. The City should always seek public input on these matters. Briones is a treasure trove of biking trails. I'm curious what prompted this?

No bikes! You are destroying the natural beauty and land home to animals.

Bikes are destroying the pathways and making it difficult to enforce safety. Trails are made to walk, hike, and enjoy nature.

I so enjoy the peace of walks on Lime Ridge trails. I hope we can keep it the way it is and not attract any more bikers by tearing up more landscapes

Mountain biking would have a destructive impact on wildlife, neighborhood traffic and quality of life and would not be properly monitored or policed. Mountain bikers have already ignored rules in place for use of the Open Space

My neighborhood would be directly affected by these changes.

We use lime ridge a lot for walking our dog..
I have family that lives adjacent to Arbolado park..WC is terrible at managing the mess this park has become..need a new city council
