Bali Eco Stay is one of the few environmentally and socially responsible hotels on the island. In fact they are one of the pioneers of truly responsible and sustainable tourism, which booking.com says they want to encourage and support. The idea that booking.com is blocking them is a blow to the sustainable tourism movement.

The owners of Bali Eco-Stay are strongly committed to responsible tourism on Bali through reducing environmental impacts, supporting the local community, and as a model of sustainability. It would be a real shame if they were permanently penalized by Booking.com for an inadvertent infraction of the company's agreement when the intent was to inform other hotel owners about how to improve their ratings on the Booking platform.

Even our area manager at booking.com provides us with information about how to improve our listing. I think the information sharing was done in good faith and the resort's only crime was in accidentally publishing it publicly.
I think leniency is in order in this case.

This place is so unique in the way they integrate in their local community, and it is a heaven for tourists in Bali. It is an example of what tourism industry should look like if it was to last. An example for all of us. May it last forever.

This is a wonderful model of an ethical business that not only provides magical stays for it's many guests but contributes significantly to local community and sustainability initiatives. We need more businesses like this on bookings.com. Please bring them back.

I have stayed there with my family ; removing them would be very unfair as related in the events that happened. They have been. Unfairly treated by the course of the events

This is a great property with fantastic owners. It is totally silly to jeopardise local jobs and livelihoods in this way, esp. after all the problems faced by tourism staff in Bali due to the volcano scares.

Bali Eco Stay is a great organization run by good honest people. Any infraction was surely not intentional and could be easily corrected with clear information.
