Yes to divorce bill in the Philippines. For those who are separated for more than years, for those who suffer from violence against their partner, for those who need to have a happy and legal life to their new partner, for those who need some respect and understanding by our society, for the sake of the children who witness unhealthy relationship of their parents.. This is the right time for the Philippines to pass the Divorce bill. Give us our right to be free and move on with our past.

Reinstitute Divorce in the Republic of the Philippines. Let marriage be a haven of love and safety by allowing women (and men) to end abusive marriages and correct a past mistake. The current provisions are very skewed against women, and discriminatory against those with religious convictions that allow divorce. If a family is broken, no law can force it to reconcile. A family is a choice, and there are many single mothers with philandering "husbands" who just make other out-of-wedlock families. Punish the perpetrator by granting a divorce to the innocent party, do not punish the innocent party by locking them in a dead marriage for the rest of time. Is the government going to support single mothers and fathers whose ex-spouses have no interest in the family? If not, then let the innocent party find support elsewhere and establish a true and loving family.
