When you can openly accept a process to legally jail a person with a ball and chain to someone for the rest of thier lives good or bad and that they have to be single for the rest of their lives because of a co equal acceptance by both parties to leave each other sometimes for many years and the fear of persecution when sometimes happiness and a new better life is right thier waiting for them is sinful in itself to keep this outdated law active. When another man or woman can take that place and also take on the virtue of the child of marriage in some cases and create a life filled with love and care and utmost support is the utmost selfless and godly and the essence of the highest religious virtue.
