Reinstating Jeremy Jones as a GLBEC Math Teacher, Mentor, and Robotics Coach

It saddens me to hear that Mr. Jones won't be at GLBEC next year. He has been a huge part of my daughters 2 years at GLBEC. She has gone to him countless times with problems and he has helped her with a resolution. She felt comfortable enough to talk to him about any issues that she doesn't feel comfortable to talk to any of the other mentors about. He cared for the students and you could see it when he would work with them with the Robotics Team. This is a huge loss for the students, parents, and program. These students need someone like him that is a friend as well as a mentor to help them with any issues that they feel they can't just talk to anyone. He's always had an open ear to listen to issues the students are having and helped them come up with a solution to the problem.

Mr. Jones has influenced me so much in this past school year than any other mentor in my educational career. This man truly loved his job. He cared so incredibly much about each and every student in the Great Lakes Bay Early College even if they weren’t his student. He poured his heart into our education and donated countless hours of his time and personal funds to our robotics team. No other employee will ever be able to fill his shoes. Mr. Jones is an intricate part of students lives, he has helped so many of us discover our true passions in life and what it will take for us to get there. The program and its students are at a tremendous loss with Mr. Jones’ termination of employment.

He is a great math teacher I’ve done more in his class then I ever have when I’m with Christensen he keeps us on task he should stay

I never had him as a teacher or mentor, but i can say without a doubt that even on the days when I was worrying about my medical conditions, his personality, jokes, and the way he taught always seemed to make me smile. Losing him as a teacher would not only put students at a learning disadvantage but would also decrease the day to day happiness felt in the GLBEC environment.

Mr.Jones is an amazing person who is an invaluable member of the GLBEC team. He is one heck of a teacher and shouldn't be anywhere but GLBEC.
