The KU Leuven has decided this year to change its Erasmus programme conditions. Erasmus exchanges in the third year of the bachelor will henceforth only take place over the first semester and not over an entire year as it used to be before. However, this measure contradicts with the interest of the students. Therefore, this petition has the purpose to reinstore the previous system of yearlong Erasmus exchanges
The volume of support has now reached a scale that allows me to formally request a meeting with the university administration. I am currently drafting a letter to the department heads to present these signatures alongside our request for a policy review.

HALF A YEAR IS A JOKE. How am I supposed to actually master the language and do proper research in just a few months? Ridiculous decision.

By the time you finally get to know the city and make friends, you have to pack your bags and go home? Makes no sense.

One semester is too short a time to settle, adapt, and learn in a new environment.
