The school is not going to be well rounded without any arts. Theater and other arts are so important for students to express their creativity and learn important skills like public speaking they cannot learn in other classes!

It's our responsibility as a community to protect the educations of our children. And the community as a whole will pay a price if we let our school system deteriorate. Putting the brunt of the deficit onto the children is simply unacceptable- Other options, please!

I was so excited for highschool mainly because of all the drama and theatrical classes. I don't know what classes I would take and enjoy if these classes were cut

There is no excuse for fiscal irresponsibility. We are accountable for the downstream impacts this causes for years to come. Please use good judgement and reconsider, before it is too late.

Theatre was an instrumental part of my time at GD and I know that a constant teacher greatly improves the program. I am very disappointed to hear that the school has cut such an important role.

So by now I am sure that members of the School Committee have seen / heard of this, but I do not see some of these items added to their idea log. In fact the idea log has not been updated since the first time that I saw it. Was there a deadline for the ideas? What is the reason for not including these ideas?

Do what's right and don't take away something that could potentially be the start of a career for an individual in high school. This really means a lot to sooooo many. Think about what you are doing before you do it.

Please keep our schools funded appropriately so that our children receive the education they deserve and Groton maintains it's reputation as an excellent school system!

I go to GDHS and I am very disappointed that drama got cut, I love participating in productions and in plays I feel like I finally belong somewhere.

I do not agree with a 13% increase particularly when positions are being cut. No to the new proposal for FY 2015 Budget.
