We hereby formally request that Tom Taagen be reinstated to the MCPA pool staff. We believe his dismissal was shortsighted and unfair, and represents on exercise of misplaced authority by whomever chose to terminate him. We don't want to have to resort to picketing the pool entrance over this issue, but we will if Tom is not reinstated promptly. Tom is much beloved by the pool patrons and staff who have worked with him over the past 14 years, and we are frankly baffled by the decision to terminate him. Please reinstate Tom promptly so that we can put this divisive and upsetting matter behind us, and continue with the efficient and friendly pool service we have come to appreciate and expect.
