The news arrived this morning and the expulsions have been officially overturned. It has been a long and draining road to get here but I am deeply grateful to the hundreds of you who stuck with this. We need to stay vigilant to ensure this never happens again.
We, the undersigned members of the Labour Party, are outraged at the expulsion of three active members of the South West Surrey Constituency Labour Party (Robert Park, Kate Townsend and Steve Williams) for supporting a Progressive Alliance in the June 2017 General Election.
One hundred people have signed on to demand justice for Robert, Kate, and Steve. It has been a long and draining road since the expulsions, but seeing this level of backing proves that we are not alone in this fight.

We are supposed to be an opposition party. We should be particularly opposed to a man who has taken every effort possible so far to destabilize the NHS and pave the way for its privatisation. Party members working towards his removal should not be punished for working in the best interests of the NHS.

Had the attitude to the Godalming Three been copied in 1997, Neil Hamilton would *still* be the MP for Tatton. The expulsions were a massive mistake, both politically and morally. At the very least, please reinstate their memberships and, ideally, say 'sorry'.

It is ludicrous to expel people who have served the local community tirelessly as well as campaigning around the country. As a Bahá'í I don't vote for Political Parties but you should be proud to have these experienced and committed people in your Local Labour Party!

Exclusion is not acceptable. Please reinstate these committed members. Living in SW Surrey constituency, I supported the Progressive Alliance in the 2017 election. Ensure the Labour Party remains a broad church.

These are three good people who have done nothing wrong. The Party shames itself in the decision to expel them. I am seriously considering after 40 years of active membership whether I can continue.

Under our first past the post system tactical voting will always be an important way to try to defeat the Tories until we get a PR electoral system. And to expel loyal LParty activists in this way is the LP shooting itself in the foot. Reinstate these members and encourage such activism for change.

Are we trying to replace the despicable Tories or are we just "Big Money Team Red" serving the interests of the few not the MANY?

How is this fundementaly different from Martin Bell? We (Labour but also LibDem) withdrew our candidates, giving the independent "man in white" a clear shot. Local branches in the Tory heartlands face this choice at every council election and there should be some flexibility in supporting (and standing for) a campaign the party supports.
