The level of disciplinary action that these three got was way to harsh. They all deserve there job back. There all great employees and did not deserve that. Yes they made a mistake but they all owned up to it. That shows true character

Give them their jobs back! This was too harsh of punishment for the violation!

I've worked with these people on both a professional and volunteer basis. ( I've been under the direct care of Chris while being transported for cardiac treatment.) They are an asset to the community.

I know one of the individuals personally and know there was no harm meant. She is a hard working individual and cares about everyone, no matter their orientation.

I understand disciplinary action being taken due to their actions. But termination is not right and unethical. It speaks volumes of the people in leadership.

The rationale behind this is ridiculous AT BEST. Get off scot-free? Eh, maybe not. But lose your job? Most definitely NOT! If you've been in this field ANY amount of time, you know we love to pick at each other, no matter how insensitive it may seem. It's because we're supposed to be a family!

I have personally worked with Chris and know the kind of person that he is. He is a great friend and was a mentor to me when I started my paramedic classes often staying after work to explain something that I didn't understand. He was an ear when I needed someone to talk to. I believe this was a prank, an ill thought out prank, but a prank and not something done in malice towards anyone. I haven't had the pleasure of working with either of the other medics but if they are half of what their supporters say they are then they are amazing.

Nobody should be fired over the fact that a person can't take a joke..No harm....No foul.

They are all good employee of the EMS. They made mistake but it did not cost anyone their life. It was a practical joke that went bad. I am sure if you look at their work record you will see they are all good at their job. They do not deserve to be dismissed.

The level of disciplinary action taken was totally out of proportion to the offense these employees committed. I would submit that the person who instigated this action completely beyond the level requested by the original aggrieved party should be terminated for gross incompetence both for this action and overall substandard performance of their assigned duties.

Who are we to judge in this case as from what I have seen is there is no one perfect. These three have done a great service to Duplin County and are good at what they do! Not everyone is cut out for this type of work remember that!
