Duplin County officials are missing an opportunity to use this situation to inform and educate. Even the finest of employees can make mistakes. These 3 exemplify hard work and dedication to Duplin County and should be used as tools not examples.
All three are remorseful, please give them the opportunity to serve the county and be role models to fellow employees.

Praying the county will reinstate the employees everyone makes mistakes and we learn from them and I don't know all the details but, from what I do know it seems punishment was harsh taking away jobs. Please reconsider the overall situation and the hardship caused to these families. Their prior hard work, dedication and commitment to serving there community has got to mean something.

Years and years of experience cannot be replaced in a short amount of time no matter whom is hired in as replacements for these three hard working individuals. I know due to the brain drain in the industry I work in. Qualified professionals are getting to be nonexistent. Reinstating would be in the best interest of the community....

If anyone should be terminated it probably should be the county officials that handled the process of terminating. From what I understand the process was handled incorrectly. Even the complainant has signed this petition and don't want punishment to this degree

Duplin County commissioners has showed weakness and the county attorney should be replaced for making a decision that makes a life changing effect on someone for making a mistake that truly regrets it. Maybe the citizens of Duplin will keep this in mind when election time comes around again

Hard working and highly trained people like these are getting harder to find these days. The community would be better served keeping the three and giving them different punishment. Terminating them places a hardship on their fellow employees, the community and their families.
