As Ms. Teicholz stated, 'The point is not whether you agree with me but that good science (and therefore good policy) requires debate and discussion. This should not be shut down! I suggested a Harvard MD to replace me but instead they chose a potato industry flack. This govt/insider cronyism around the Dietary Guidelines must stop. Independent, science-backed views need to be represented.'.

I think all opinions need to be reflected, not just those that are deemed most "politically correct".

Disband the committee or include other viewpoints. How dare you meet on the premise of discussion and collaboration and exclude those who disagree with you? You fear policy change because it stands to shrink your pockets!

I just finished her book and according to her research there is no scientific research that supports low-fat high carb diets. Let her be heard.

Transparency in government and science is vital and trying to cut off this woman is awful. Please reinstate her on the panel.

We need Nina T reinstated. She understands cholesterol and fat better than most.

Please reverse the decision to remove Nina Teicholz from the food policy panel--it was a bad decision that makes the conference organizers look like frightened dupes of big agribusiness.

Reinstate Nina Teicholz, please. Scientific inquiry is assisted by open discussion. Suppressing the voices of those you disagree with is NOT in the "Public Interest" - it only benefits corporate special interests.

I would like to see more (REAL) science based changes to our food for the health of its people not b/c the food industry has paid anyone off. Prefer the studies are looked at w/ a careful eye as to who and why this study was done

Please re-instate her onto the food policy panel --she is one of the few in this country who knows what is causing the obesity/diabesity problem

The function of the panel is to be objective and consider all science related to nutrition. Nina Teicholz has shown through her investigative journalism that she can bring a much needed rational voice to this discussion.

The credibility of consensus nutrition (government, association, industry) is in free-fall. Reversing this dis-invitation might help slow that trend.

It's time for policymakers to change their outlook on fat. Read the science in Teicholz's book.

I believe this is the beginning of a new way of looking at nutrition. This LCHF has been around for a long time and until people are educated about this food plan there will always be resistance because of the big food industries. I am hoping that some of the parents of young children are teaching them how to eat correctly. One of big things is the stupid cutesy breakfast cereals which must not be bought at all. I have heard of this LCHF food plan for forty years or more. We need choices regarding our food, good healthy chocies not a food plan that big Pharm benefits from. Lizzie Horrigan Lizzie Horrigan
