This is incredible. These people can't uphold their positions, so they simply have a dissenting view kicked out? sounds like our college students these days.

We need someone who is a true scientific expert on this panel and not related to big agriculture.

We need intelligent, accomplished non-government, non- industry people with demonstrated bona fides in the issues at hand to represent the public Nina qualifies on all these counts

I would expect an independent journalist has a better chance of correcting errors (her own included) than someone representing the potato industry (there's no way to say "potato industry" without smiling though). That's the whole game. Please reinstate Nina Teicholz.

Industry--Big Food and agribusiness--play too powerful a role in crafting national dietary advice. Even "experts" have deep and longstanding ties with industry. Ms. Teicholz's place on the food policy panel would have been a small step in the right direction to allow unbiased voices to speak.

This is a scientifically valid point of view and must be represented for the health (biological, not financial) of our nation. Removing this person for her forward-thinking (or backward-thinking of you understand that this was the point of view of our healthy ancestors) is unconscionable.

Stand up for free discourse on science and nutrition. Reinstate Nina Teicholz to the panel. She has a lot to say, and we all need to hear it.

In the Soviet Union, all the heavy hitters were kicked out of the Writers Union (Pasternak, Solzhenitsyn, Anna Akhmatova, Zoshchenko, Mandelstam, Dombrovsky...). You're in good company, Nina!

America and the Western World is fat, sick and costing governments billions in taxpayer money. Some nutritional guidelines actually based in science would not detract from the economy, but help it. Please see sense and reinstate this woman.

It time to listen to different approaches. Remember in a struggle it requires doing something different to get results.
