Reinstate the Museum of Science and Industry Science Minors/Achievers Program

Do any of you have any referrals for our students this summer in the Chicago area. My church student, as others are saddened that the program is cancelled, she is an active participant in this program. THANK YOU, PLEASE SEND IDEAS

VIP Youth Program

Science Achievers is an extremely valuable program. It allowed both of my sons to immerse themselves in science and share that knowledge with others. Science has never been more important to our society and the world. Children are our future. Let’s give them tools to improve the world - SCIENCE!

This is a fantastic program with strong faculty leadership. We’re looking forward to taking it forward as we come out of the pandemic.

I was just telling my 14 yo that we were gonna sign her up this year! My sister and older daughter both were a part of the program and I think it’s great for our kids; it teaches them so much far beyond just science

Although I've never heard of this program before, It would be terrible for those who have heard of the program and planned to go after the lockdown to find out that the program was gone for good.

I was apart of the very first group of Science Achievers and can personally speak volumes to how beneficial this program is for teens across the city to be not only disposed to stem but also the opportunities that they otherwise would not have access to. It helped me grow my love for science but also my public speaking skills. In a world where nerds were ridiculed, I was embraced and developed in that program. Surrounded by mentors that helped me from high school through college and beyond. You would be doing a huge disservice to the youth of this city by closing this program. The Science Achievers/Science Minors program is needed in our community.

I join the program when I was a kid and now I’m better for it

This program has truly allowed me to grow into a mature intelligent man who is confident in himself. Before this program I was a timid shy kid, I'm now 18 but I want other teens to have the opportunity to experience and grow from this amazing program.

Please save this amazing program for young learners who truly deserve something so beneficial for them.

I really think this program was an incredible community that fostered growth for not only its members but the viewers. It had a lot of potential to reach a broader audience and I think giving it a second chance could mean so much.

Please bring back I love it

I use to facilitate the Science Achievers Program and it was a program that helped inspire many teens and youth in Chicago. Many got their first jobs, first bank accounts and even realistically considered attending college for the first time as a result of their participation. It would be so sad to see it go away.

So sad this program has been cut. It was a source of pride and joy to know the museum invested in the lives of young people in Chicago.

Good luck young learners

This program gave me amazing opportunities, unforgettable work experience, amazing friends and so much more. I would hate for this opportunity to end for other students.
