I met Sara a few years ago while trying to find a home for a special needs kitty. Over the past couple of years, Sara regularly alerted me to the "wobbly" cats at CACC and helped coordinate more time so that we could get them to a safe, no-kill rescue. This isn't about pointing fingers or harsh words. It's about ensuring that highly valuable, highly compassionate, and highly successful member of Chicago's animal welfare community be allowed to volunteer her time to make a difference. Simple as that.

Sara brought my Shadow to the attention of CACC Cat Transfer Team back in March of this year. He had 3 strikes: black, 12 years old, and very sick. Because she went the extra mile this sweet baby is now a healthy, happy member of my family instead of another dead, discarded cat:.
