As a parent of a child who attends Briary school and a resident in Greenhill, I feel its extremely important to a child's safety to reinstate the crossing patrol. Not only does it stop traffic but it also slows the flow of traffic at school entry and exit times making it a much safer place for parents and children to cross the road.

Having 2 children going to briary and seeing how drivers ignore the crossing there should be a patrol person making sure that all the people using the crossing are safe at school times. But as per usual who ever has the last work on whether the crossing get a patrol person they will wait until some one is badly injured or killed before they do anything.

My kids don't attend this school anymore but I've sign the petition as it's about the safety of all those children as there is to many arrogant drivers out there thinking they own the road.

I strongly feel they need a lollipop person cars along that road speed all the time. Not only that it's extra safety when I was at that school I was followed by a man in a car and the lollipop lady noticed then as she called me and started walking towards me he sped of. It could of been innocent but she also could of saved me from somthing bad happening that day.

Children at primary schools learn a lot about road safety by having a lollipop person.

I can't believe that this crossing on a busy road, near a primary school, has not got a crossing patrol officer. I just hope it doesn't take a serious accident to make this need clear.
