I think we have a right for artistic expression. We need paintings like this for those particular audiences to do want an emphasis on an adult's night out. Shouldn't be a problem if a venue has a private room, or is open to these sort of events.

As a paint & sip company it is important to brand standards that we maintain a spirit of art and creativity. Stifling freedom of expression and the freedom of the market vote does not serve the brand or our creative party image. Removing popular paintings from the library based on one individual's idea of what is "overly sexual" makes the brand appear conservative, prudish, and inconsiderate of others sexual freedom. At most risque designs could be given a warning tag to discuss atmosphere appropriateness with a venue before scheduling. What is more important to staying "on brand" is well written directions included in every library entry so that every artist has the tools necessary to consistently & masterfully teach the design.

I think that poorly executed paintings in terms of composition and painting skill should be retired, as a priority, long before we start censoring for sex. Licensees don't have to schedule stuff like this, AND, I think it is nice to have the sexy options for private bachelorettes etc. I personally tend to stay on the more conservative side, and I was going to schedule Bathing Beauty and was disappointed I couldn't! I DID schedule Panty Party, but ended up changing it out because it didn't sell well. Anyhow, seems like an odd thing to top the priority list for HQ, when there are so many other things I feel are more important and need to get done with our painting library.

I, personally, think this painting is going a bit far. I think it's beautifully painted and that the history of art of nudes make this look like G work, but I think the line is getting blurred here. I had my boss schedule her restaurant venue for this painting and the manager was uncomfortable with having it at their venue. I get that it's sexy and all that, but it seems like it's getting close to an erotica painting that just opens the gates to pushing the line further. Bottom line, I would be uncomfortable teaching this to other women, let alone men or the possible harassment from other drunk people that might say something. Outside of a higher college art class, I don't think live nudes should be in Paint Nite either.

This I just a silly decision. We need a well rounded library to choose from. Adult company should have adult themed paintings to choose from . Also confused as to how this goes against brand .....seems right on target.

I agree with everything you've said. I know people who would love this and people who would be offended. But you know what, it's their choice and that's why we have so many Great painting to choose from and why we know our areas and our audiences! This would be a riot for a Bachelorette's party! I do really agree with you about the hypocrisy. If they are going to sensor that then they need to get rid of nude models, the foul language in the oath, and there are more than 4 paintings that are suggestive and if you are offended by it, then don't put it on your calendar, and if you love it then do!

I absolutely and 100% agree that this painting as well as the others should not have been retired. I am instructing stilleto seduction in April and had alot of people very excited about doing this painting. I also had quite a few people who were interested in this painting for bachorette parties. I could understand this being an issue I'd we were a company that catered to all ages....we are however most definitely NOT!! Come on you guys......we're adults here.

of all the things to censor--if you ask enough people every painting will offend someone-i feel bad if these are to sexual for those judging !!

Please reinstate these and other retired paintings! At Paint Nite, we have a specific group of customers. The ones that do not want to paint this or find it offensive will choose a different painting to attend. Some very tasteful paintings do not sell well, and I feel we should let the ticket sells speak for themselves. I support artists rights to create a variety of painting themes and the customers rights to pay for and attend events of paintings they want to paint. This cannot happen if paintings are being censored.

My painting, "Bathing Beauty" was also retired. While it shows a woman sitting on the beach in a bikini, you can see the very top of her butt cheeks, a little cheeky but certainly just a hint and not the whole bottom. I feel to retire this painting when we have full ass nudes of men in the library is very hypocritical. I think the male nudes should be in the library as we have nude model nights. But mine shows a hint of a bottom, not a whole ass. so I consider this sexist that only the women have been removed. We are clearly an adult company and promote alcohol, but it seems it has just been decided we are not allowed to have any paintings that might be risqué. Only PG rated... It should be our choice, we as licensee's know our different audiences. We should not be censored. Meanwhile there are plenty of poorly painted paintings in the library including copies of paintings already in there.
