Even a “hybrid” class does not adequately compare to the consistent learning environment provided by an in person class. Additionally, forced isolation has many well documented detriments to mental health, often leading to risk taking behaviors, substance abuse, and in extreme cases, self harm or suicidal behavior.

The pass fail option needs to be put in place again this semester due to virtual learning which is far harder.

Pass fail wasn’t even really expressed to us as an option for this semester, after hurricane sally hit my home town I reached out asking about this option and was told it was too late. Why would they make a deadline for this so early ?
