Fall 2020 regular tuition fee was $5,007 and Intl. tuition fee was $6,308. The Intl. fee is already more than the regular fee.
All students pay tuition fee to get the lessons taught and what differentiates between the lectures received by domestic and international students? It is the same and the lessons are taught via MS Teams and MS PowerPoint which already exist. So where is the investment for online learning?
Moreover, the quarantine cost for the Intl. students will be partially covered only for the one who will be arriving for the very first time/returning students to Canada since the pandemic but still pay every semester the raised fee? How does that work when the help is only provided once but we pay the increased fee every semester?
As mentioned earlier in the emails that the funding from the Government to Dalhousie University is not enough to support the staff (wage, benefits and pension plan), this issue should be brought under notice to the Government rather than have all students pay to keep the staff running through the increased tuition fee.

How about instead of investing millions into fossil fuels, Chegg, and British American Tobacco company you redirect that money to the students and the apparent need to raise tuition.

As a student leader, I've been a part of many meetings that have limited speaking and voting rights online over the last year. It's not that difficult to do and the Board should be holding itself to a higher standard.
