This is a difficult topic and i believe the community have got this wrong. The madrasah is a education institution and basic ofsted rules apply and as the principal surely mufti zia can see the benefits off getting the necessary training to support our childrens learning i a safe environment or tick a box that needs to be done. The basics Health and Safety, Child Protection (Prevention, FGM, Child Grooming, DBS etc to disseminate that to staff) - many guilty cases out there proving that basic checks need to be in place for the PROTECTION OF OUR CHILDREN. The fees paid are to cover costs of staff as well as resources so there are expectations we have. In this age surely a madrasah is as accountable as a child going to school in main stream school. So mufti the head the trustees the governors , so any decision the heads makes must be approved by the trustees. For all those people out here that dont have a basic understanding off a disciplinary dismissal let me break it down for you Accusation Evidence Hearing Dismissal or reinstatement Appeal It takes months not days as people think this was done overight. No one member can discuss the case as the mufti could have them done for defamation or slander which could affect his future prospects. Also it is assasination of the good work he bas carried out. If the mufti truely believes he is in the right why doesnt he appeal? Also why not publish his documents? The dismissal was not based on one incident. The community is being seriously naive and just believing gossip and hearsay.

yh only moulana mogra would make this decision in favour of the committee. Don't bring other scholars into this as am sure none of the top alims would back this committee

This is absurd, another example of power hungry people exploiting the public and mistreating an honest and humble Imam.

I am really disappointed On hearing the dismissing of our imam mufti Ziah from his respectful position. As a community member, I have witnessed mufti sahb supporting the masjid in every possible way right from the start. It’s a great shame that no members of the community are being consulted with this regard when we have been told it is our masjid. Clearly and sadly this is not true. I feel disheartened that such decisions are being made which is causing a split within the community when we should be united to support He house of Allah.

It's such a shame that some people (who are possibly related to the Trustees and Shura Committee members) are using 'anonymous' IDs to oppose Mufti saab on this petition. If they had slightest truth in what they are saying, they would have posted in their own names. Shame on you. May Allah forgive you.

We need to hear both sides of the story, we understand that the committee cant reveal everything due to legal reasons however we as parents need to know what is going on. The children at the Masjid are confused and want to know where their Mufti Saab has gone. The love that he has for the children and the love the children have for him is unprecedented. I have never seen this at any of other Masjid / Madressah. May Allah reward Mufti Saab. Ameen

Why are you anonymous? Why don't you disclose your name. Because you are one of their agents. Do the simple maths and count from the first comment to check how many people love Mufti saab and how many agents like you are there on this page. We are all gathering at the temporary Madrasah (City of Leicester College) at 7:00pm today and everyday from now on. Come forward and have the courage to disclose your lies.

The committee need to understand that Muftisaab has been in this community and apart of our Masjid from day one. He needs to be reinstated because he respects and understands the youth and the youth have the utmost respect for him. He makes each individual feel welcome at the Masjid and is an asset to the community. May Allah reward him for everything he has done. Ameen Also to the Committee members – you need to let the parents of the students know what is actually going on. Not just send letters home saying we aren’t telling you anything – go ask Mufti. You can’t dump everything on one individual and expect us to understand. It’s not fair for us, you and MuftiSaab to just have one side of the story out there. This is how rumours start.

Dear editor. I have attempted to put my comments on here of why I believe the Mufti should not be reinstated. I have attempted to do this for the past 3 hours. However you have refused to publish it and have instead only published positive comments in support. We live in a democracy and I should be able to provide negative or positive feedback, however you are putting obstacles and barriers in my way. I have contacted ipeition to raise the matter with them. I will also be contacting the trustees of the masjid to share my negative experience of the Mufti and making them aware that the Mufti should not be reinstated!

We are all humans and we do mistakes but our teachings lets us forgive. I have lived in the area for more than five years during this time I have seen mufti Sab and his contributions towards mosque and his dedication towards madarsah. It’s cruel to get him out of his position. I don’t think anyone can replace him.
