What a travesty for all concerned but what a beautifully written petition. Please consider these students' request as they return the support that they have always received from this beloved teacher.

My God, let this lady come back to work. More harsher things are being done at SVHS by teachers such as being racist. Nothing is being done about that. Shaking my head, this is ridiculous.

Folks don't blame the School Board they did't know anything about it, at least the two I talked didn't. Seems a bit strange to me??? I wonder how many of those in charge of the school system will ever see any the support that Sandra is getting from former students, students she didn't teach but know her as a person, former teachers, friends, and people that see it for what it is a travesty.

I am a concerned grandparent of a child in Vance County Public Schools. If you suspended all the teachers for such minor things, you may not have many left to teach in this county.

If you think this is the first time her students have heard the word "ass" or the expression "pull it out of my ass" you're out of touch. While I am certain she regrets using the phrase, people make mistakes and the penalty MUST be proportional.... The last I heard, Jesus Christ has not applied for a teaching job in Vance County. You're stuck with mere humans, and we all make mistakes.

I never had Mrs Wiggins in the classroom, however anytime I saw her, she had a smile on that would brighten the whole hall. I had the pleasure of having her husband as a principal. so what if she cussed? how many times have cussing words been spewed at her over the past 20+ years, by students (and parents) with no rebuttal? VCS needs to STOP IT. Mrs Wiggins is one of the lat of a dying breed. She actually cares for the students, their test scores, their futures. People want to punish her for a statement that was probably random, and not even directed to anyone. Lets focus on a real issue. These children who are so disruptive that they create a handicap in the classroom.
Dr. Jackson, Please dont take one of the best teachers out of the classroom. Consider her history. Consider the fact that she is human and capable of a mistake. Consider her students that are a part of the graduating class of 2016. Consider Mrs Wiggins an asset rather than a liability.

Sandra Wiggins has committed her career to the Vance County School System. I can't believe this is the way she is being repaid.

The absolute audacity of someone to take what was said and turn it into this is completely uncalled for. I wish my children had had the opportunity to have her for their teacher. She is an asset to the school, one of which you cannot replace easily. Not often do you find someone who thrives on seeing students learn to enjoy history as many of her students have. And this is where the VCS wants to spend their resources? When my child walks the halls of NVHS watching students doing drugs, watching the administrators watch these students smoke marijuana in the hallways. And saying the word "ass" is what my BOE feels is most important? It is definitely a sad, sad day.

If our schools had more teachers like her then students wouldn't be falling so far behind. As a mother with 4 children in the NC school systems I am very dissatisfied with many of the newer teachers. I have learned over the years the differnce in a teacher that cares and one that is there for the paycheck. Too many great teachers being forced out of our schools. These children have went above and beyond to get this teacher reinstated. That should define how great of an impact she is having on our children.
