Making a scape Goat out of a guy who seems to have done nothing wrong in this instance seems unfair and will surely backfire on the ECB. Yes, he can be irritarting and yes he may have a ego and be difficult to gey allong with, but good teams and good captains/ Coaches can deal with that. In any event, he was the top scorer in the recent Ashes humiliation and has ben a model team p[layer since his wromng doing 2 years ago over the SA 'textgate' scandal. Hopw can England rebuild their team without their best player?

A very sad day for English cricket. This English management setup is an absolute shambles: they have no idea how to man manage anyone (just look at how they've dealt with Onions, Panesar etc besides KP). KP has been instrumental in England's success since 2005. He is one of the best batsmen to have ever played the game, and it seems to be that the dressing room arguments (if we are to believe any of this) can only have been caused by jealousy. I have lost so much respect for Alistair Cook. This is the man who needs to step down. It is an absolute disgrace that Cook - a player with less than half of KP's ability - can be allowed to sit in judgement on KP's career. It should not be his call to make.

To end a batsman's career because of poor is acceptable. To sack the best performing batsman without any formal explanation is not. If the ECB need a scapegoat the try considering tge xaptain who cannot justify his place on his own batting form.

In any other walk of life, managers find ways to handle their star performers, regardless of how difficult they are. This really is an abject failure on the part of the England management.

KP is a solid player. He always had management problems but once on the field he has slammed all: be it his 186 at Ahmedabad or 150 in Colombo or 150 against SA in Oval, he is always the man England needs....

Don't rob the cricketing world from at least another 3-4 years of pure joy of test match batting. Closest thing to Viv Richards.

Worst decision since Gower was dropped, why can't England deal with talent?
