My experience of this radio station, gained at first hand as a volunteer, is that Nigel is one of the very few presenters who lives by the ethos of entertainment and fun.
Petty jealousy and tin-pot Hitlers have no place in deciding the future of a talented DJ with a worldwide audience. The fact that he enjoys an audience of such reach speaks volumes.
I was very saddened to hear of this situation, and hope it can be resolved fully as soon as possible before a vital audience is lost. The listenership and popularity of Radio Broadgreen is absolutely crucial to its growth and continued survival. Taking Nigel off the air is not a decision that should have been made lightly without full appreciation of the implications. A simple apology would have sufficed if the committee genuinely considered his act to be indecent (which I find hard to believe). removing him from air risks damage to the whole station.

Imagine making a joke and trying to cheer people up. Why would anyone in hospital want that...?

The hospital radio raised my spirits and I even won a Broadgreen Radio mug while listening to a request programme.

Great show. We'd like it back. We all have shoulders. This suspension was ridiculous.
