Reinstate Haji Cham
The much loved and loyal Head Concierge of Lexington Apartments, Haji Cham, was recently dismissed from his position. He is now out of work and is having to move his family out of their home. The reasons for his dismissal by James Andrew Residential relate to a single, one-off incident, involving an argument with one of our tenants. JAR is saying that this single incident means that he should lose his job and, as he is responsible for the safety and security of the tenants in the building, he cannot be trusted to remain in his role. The company has taken this position in spite of the fact that Haji was provoked, is remorseful, has received the overwhelming support of residents in the building, and otherwise has a clean disciplinary record. His solicitor feels he has been unfairly treated, and we agree with him. Haji has given Lexington Apartments 17 years of wonderful service, during which he has shown himself to be efficient, knowledgeable, reliable, honest, courteous, well presented, and always keen to go out of his way to offer help and advice.
Please sign this petition if you believe that: (1) Haji should get his job back; and (2) he can be trusted to remain in his role.
If anyone has separate thoughts that they would like to share after signing the petition (or other messages of support), they could email them to Haji at haji.cham@gmail.com
On behalf of Haji, thank you very much for your time, and we welcome your support. Norman Miller, Jinendra Ekanayake, and Ann Brown
