Grant Targhee has canceled their student discount for season passes. Instead of an early bought season pass for $370, it is now $900. Most college students cannot afford a season pass without this discount. We want to be able to enjoy Grand Targhee and all it has to offer while simultaneously continuing our education!!
UPDATE: Targhee has changed to a young adult pass for about $500. With minimum wage being $7.25 in Idaho, and most college students only being able to work around 20 hours a week, we propose a part-time college student pass for $500, but full-time college students should still have a pass for $370. Bring back the student pass!

I HAVE BEEN TALKING TO SO MANY STUDENTS WHO LITERALLY CANNOT AFFORD TO GO UP THE MOUNTAIN THIS SEASON!! THE CURRENT YOUNG ADULT PRICING IS STILL TOTALLY OUT OF REACH FOR US AND WE ARE GOING TO KEEP PUSHING UNTIL THEY BRING BACK THE ACTUAL STUDENT RATE!!

THIS MOMENTUM IS ABSOLUTELY ELECTRIC!! THE RESORT CANNOT IGNORE US NOW BECAUSE WE ARE SHOWING THEM EXACTLY HOW MUCH THIS LOSS HURTS THE STUDENT COMMUNITY!!

I understand that there is a lot of money in skiing but trying to get it out of college students who are trying to better themselves is not the place and we would love to at least have a compromise because it is far to expensive to ski these day. Skiing is one of few outlets for people and baring a large majority due to extreme pricing is a detriment to the community.
You are killing the opportunity for the majority of your BYUI students....and you know it.
Skiing and snowboarding is a great wholesome activity for college students. As college expenses sore attending college becomes more difficult to afford. With the significantly increased cost of the season pass most students will no longer be able to afford it, including their parents. The discounted student pass is a great tradition for many and it was really sad to see it go. Establishing a good base of skiers and snowboarders with a discounted season pass is also a good business investment. College students that fall in love with snow sports as they're establishing themselves in college could help secure future established patrons of the resort. Please reinstate the student Grand targhee discounted season pass.
Getting rid of college passes is absolutely ridiculous and unfair. The only reason they’re putting a “young adult” pass out is to make themselves look better. Targhee is well aware that most kids ages 19-22 are on missions and won’t be skiing during that time. Sad
Bring back the college ski pass. Bring back the family pass. Remember the common folk who got you where you are today. Don’t make your mountain only available to the wealthy.
Want to be able to enjoy the season with the least amount of stress as possible. It is always a bummer when affordability stops people from going up.

I love skiing and would love to keep doing it. the prices make it hard to continue the sport.
