You waste money on logos and cut a long term survey at a time when surveys such as these showing long term trends are vitally important to show health of planet through health of wildlife.

Another piece of evidence that NRW are out of touch with reality and real priorities. This cut in funding shows a lack of understanding or care or both. I suggest that we bombard the decision makers with emails etc. pointing out the potential damage of the decision and requesting that the funding be restored.

I do not understand the rationale behind the decision to cut this funding particularly now when the work is so important. As well as this petition, I suggest that we all bombard the decision makers with emails pointing out the error of their ways and requesting that the funding be reinstated.

a crazy decision Now that seabird populations are declining more, not less, needs to be spent on monitoring

A disturbingly retrograde step by NRW compromising one of the more important research projects in the Principality

NRW has a clear obligation to maintain and collate evidence of climate change: the guillemot survival and productivity data provide part of that evidence. It is shocking that an organisation which claims that it uses an evidence base for decision-making then decides totally to ignore some of the most compelling evidence provided by an internationally recognised expert.

BTO have just requested assistance with guillemot monitoring on the whole UK coast "because this is vital right now."

Having stayed on Skokholm several times now I have experienced first hand the effort that goes in to this kind of study. We have sat for hours and hours watching the Guillemots tender their eggs and chicks. £12k is money well spent and exceptionally good value. Please reinstate it right now.
