It is very important to maintain long term monitoring schemes, else we loose the continuity and the ability to accurately compare and recognise change. This especially true when this is the only study of its kind.

Long-term datasets such as those of Skomer's Guillemot population are priceless and provide valuable information on population demography, survival, movements and the effects on these of environmental changes. Financial support of this sort of long-running dataset is money well invested.

These long-term studies are priceless in assessing the health of seabird populations and the ecosystems that support them and us. This is not an expensive study, and should be a top priority for continuation.

With climate change impacts only recently becoming realized, long-term data sets such as this should be the last thing that should be cut.

This is a very bad decision B/C the seabird population death toll is rising.It is a hugely important study & helps us gives us information about seabirds. Thank You.

It is shameful and short sighted to end such an important and long running study at a time when understanding the impact of the recent storms on seabirds is crucial.

There are few long- running data sets; however they are critical to addressing the current issues. Please fund science and this long-term study.

To stop long term population studies in this day and age is insane. Lost data can never be recouped. Now more than ever do we need to understand what drives our seabird populations. The funding for this work must continue!!

Seabirds are one of the glories of the British coast. Many birds have suffered severely in the recent storms and this excellent study therefore gains even more significance and importance. Really disappointed to hear Natural Resources Wales is considering withdrawing funding.
