This incredibly well written petition, from the Captains, alone says volumes about Coach D's extraordinary leadership and dedication to his swimmers. You don't get this kind of support for any coach. Coach D brings the best out of my daughter, Charlotte -- he's part of my village in raising my daughter to reach her potential. That there is no clear communication begs the question of the decision making process that resulted in Coach D's dismissal. Frankly, the consequence doesn't match the infraction.
I look forward to seeing Coach D back at CHS.

Coach D was one of the most enthusiastic coaches that my children had ever come in contact with in the Chatham School district. They learned a lot from him...he deserves another chance!

Coach D is one of the best and most supportive coaches I’ve ever had, both in and out of the pool. During my years as a Chatham swimmer (2013-2017) he led our team to a 100 meet winning streak, 4 county championships, and 3 state championships. More importantly, he’s an absolutely fantastic person, coach, role model, and mentor for all Chatham swimmers and a positive influence on all. Shocked and upset at this news

Coach D has been one of the best coaches I’ve ever had as he has pushed me to my full potential in swimming and inspired me to push myself to be the best swimmer I can be. I can’t imagine chaswim without Coach D.
