Fay is one of the most generous magicians I know. All the way over at The Magic Castle, if Fay's name comes up, anyone who has met her has a story of Fay helping them out. Magic needs more people like Fay!

Fay has contributed so much to magic over the years that an outburst (which was then publicly apologised for) pails an insignificance to what really matters. This says a lot more about TMC than it does Fay. Get her back in!

Come on....really? When common sense doesn’t prevail with issues such as this is the reason it has put me off wanting to be a member.

I came from Athens GR to the BMC earlier this year and then visited the Magic Circle. Fay welcomed me and my friend and spoke to us about the Magic Circle. I found her very interesting to listen to, as she shared some of her insights on the Magic Circle with us. I plan to visit again in 2020 and hope to see Fay amongs all the other welcoming people I had met that evening.

I have been in this group since it's inception and believe the punishment does not fit the crime.
We have all had momentary lapses of judgement and she has done all possible to make amends for the harm done.
I believe in giving others the right to be right and the right to be wrong.
I believe forgiveness is not a weakness but a strength.

I have known Fay now for many years. As a female working in a very Male orientated career, it was wonderful to meet such a talented and extraordinary woman who was kind and eager to help. She became my mentor who has helped me considerably over the years.
I have visited TMC a couple of times and would have felt a little more uneasy without Fay there to guide me. She is a true asset to the club. Surely a small loss of restraint, on her part, should not be punished in such a way. We have all heard worst whilst entertaining at clubs.

Faye is an inspiration in the world of magic, and the only reason I’m even considering joining the circle when I’m ready to so. Everyone can have a bad day and apologise and move on. There is no need for extreme punishment for someone who is an inspiration and a pillar of the magic community.

I have been to the magic circle on a few occasions. I remember 1 time Fay doing everything she could to make us feel welcome. She apologised for not being able to offer us refreshments and was keen to help us feel as at home. Where as what was actually happening was we were being ashured out promptly and meeting at the pub around the corner instead of staying in the club bar.
This was at the Tom Noddy lecture I believe.
I can't remember if this was pre or post show.
When someone is pushed to the point where they have a bit of a meltdown, it is unfair to focus only on the outburst being innapropriate. The question of what happened to create the situation in the 1st place is very important.
Lots of little rude acts and behaviours from other members over a long period of time resulted in an outburst.
Look deeper inside the circle, see where you can improve and open your minds and souls. Look at your behaviours and ask yourself if you were being rude?
How would you feel if someone treated you like you treated Fay?
Honest self reflection is key in self development.

A woman who laid strong foundations for woman in magic. The first to say hello to anyone in need and selfless to take ANY magician under her wing. The least egotistical magician I’ve ever met.

I am so sorry to hear of Fays ban from TMC.
We all have bad days. The fact hers came after 27 years of frustration is a testament to Fays character and resolve. That should be celebrated, not the moment in question. I am signing the petition to have Fay reinstated and I encourage all here to do the same.
Again, we all have bad days and it’s not a question of if this will happen to you, it’s just a question of when. So let’s give Fay the respect she deserves here and not take away something she loves and is great at.
