It infuriated me to hear of Dr. Blume being accused of such nonsense. He was the doctor of my mother, grandmother, brother and father for many years. Dr Blume was my doctor as well through many trying health issues of my own. I am 59 and now live in another state but I miss Dr. Blume. He was not only our family physician but part of OUR family, our friend through all those trying times with illness and death. He does not deserve to be treated in this way. He was and is a wonderful doctor!

I have known Dr. Blume for the last 30 years. I have not met a better physician and person than Jim Blume. He was in residency with me and we work side by side for many years. His heart was and still is for the people of WV. I know he gives freely of his time and money to the needy in his town and surrounding area of Hinton. Taking this great doctor from his practice is a tragic error in judgment. Please reinstate his license ASAP! Thank you for your time Charles E Shaffer MD

Please re-instate Dr. James Blume. He is the best doctor I have ever been to. I have been a patient of his for 15 years. He is a caring doctor. All of his patients are without a good doctor to care for their medical needs. There is no doctor anywhere like him..He has always been there for me and did everything he could to make sure my health needs were met. He cares and listens to you when you are sick ..He is one of a kind. I've never had a doctor like him before..Please re-instate his license..We really need him..I travel an hour away just to get to see a good doctor! He is an excellent doctor as well as a fine man!

He used to be my physician years ago and I could never have asked for a better one for myself and family. If I was still there, he would still be my Doctor. He has a big heart, compassion for his job as well as love for his patients. I have never met another physician that had did does what he does for his patients and not just for the money. He made you feel like you were his priority.

Dr. Blume is the best family physician I have ever had. Further, he is the most moral man I know. Our community is hurting over the loss of this fine Doctor.

This is an obvious case of letter over spirit of the law. Why did they go after a man whose only infraction was a rule violation, not ethics or legal. Yes he deserved a "misdemeanor" type penalty for "breaking the rules", but what he did, did in no way violate ethics or morals, nor go contrary to the Hypocratic oath. The guidelines he violated are in place for a reason, however, the availability of competent medical care in his area is about as rare as an honest politician, and besides him, I personally can't think another physician in that area I would trust a family member too either. It seems to me difficult to understand why the board would consider charges against a man like Jim Blume for a benign violation when there are so many so called "Doctors" who run "Pain clinics" which are little more than a quasi-legal drug pusher business committing Medicare/Medicaid fraud to the tune of TENS OF MILLIONS of dollars a year in this state, all of which I am certain "The Board" is aware of. I think we may need to get the U.S. A.G. to look into "The Board" and find out why the "Pill mills" are untouched and a Dr. who treated his family members according to standards & practices, only too long, had his license revoked!
