Hi, I am a parishioner and I do not know Dr. Cichocki personally but every week my family travels to hear the scared music at the Cathedral. Dr. Cichocki is an exceptional conductor. He has worked endlessly to create a new hymnal, but also preserve and encourage sacred music not just for his students, but the community. When I heard from a friend he lost his job because he did not follow his school's strategic plan I was shocked. He spent his entire life carrying out his school's mission. His life is an embodiment of Monsignor Ronan's vision from what I have read. I plead to the Director, Archdiocese, and his Eminence, Cardinal Collins, please reconsider this decision.

Dr. Jerzy Cichocki has an exceptional knowledge of the Roman Catholic musical and liturgical tradition, and more than 30 years experience as a professional choral conductor. He is one of the most qualified musicians for this position in Canada, and has given years of dedicated service to the choir school and the cathedral. Just because something isn't a lie does not mean that it isn't deceptive. A liar knows that he is a liar, but one who speaks mere portions of truth in order to deceive is a craftsman of destruction. This is just wrong!

How can we truly say that the school helps our boys to be "men for others." When a "man for others" at the school is being fired during the Christmas season. After working for 25 years Dr Cichocki deserves better treatment. I hope the school will reconsider this decision.

The perfunctory notice of Dr. Cichocki’s termination was disgraceful. Jerzy has provided SMCS with so much more than simply “many years of service”. I hope this petition helps Stephen Handrigan to recognize how unique and rare Dr. Cichocki’s qualifications are, and how much Jerzy’s qualifications are valued by the SMCS community.

As a parent of a student who attends this school, this decision has been utterly the worst decision this school has ever made. It disappoints me to see Doc leave, and I leave this message with no regrets.

Absolute outrage. Dr. Cichocki is the only reason the choir school still stands and has a reputation for great music. seems like anyone who doesn't conform to the crooked choir school mindset gets the boot. They have bigger issues than Doc. #freedoc

Dr Chichocki is part of the passionate choral tradition SMCS should be most proud of. I believe supporters and students of the school should be given an appropriate explanation.
