I support Diane Abbott to be able to stand in the election as a Labour or be given a place in the House of Lords. Whichever role she chooses. She is an iconic person as the first black, woman MP, with a long history of political service.

She is a trailblazer and hardworking servant of Labour movement

Of Ms Abbott is not allowed to stand as a labour MP, I shall not vote Labour. It is no longer a party that represents honest working people. It is becoming conservative in all but name.

I urge Kier Starmer to reinstate Diane Abbott as the prospective Labour candidate for her constituency. I am a strong labour supporter and member of the Labour Party but this seems unjust to me.

Ms Abbott should be the standing candidate in her Hackney seat - How can this ban be right when Ms Elphick has been accepted into the Labour Party? It's looking like racist treatment by the party, and makes me, as a Black Labour member, very angry. Let her stand for re-election!

To accept Elphicke but reject Abbott is totally unacceptable

The way they have treated Diane Abbot is a disgrace. Kier Starmer should resign.

It’s an travisty how Diane Abbott has been treated by the Labour Party under Keir Starmer. We have been watching for a year and will show our solidarity with Diane by not voting for Labour en masse at the upcoming election.

Why is it taking so long to restore Diane Abbot back into the Whip Labour Party. It is not fair! She has done so much for her party and the public love her. Why is Starmer keeping her out?

It has ,in my view, taken far too long to sort this out. If Labour is such a broad church and allows right wing Conservative MPs in, Diane should be there too. Whether I, as a Labour member, agree with everything she says or not.

Diane should be able to stand for election again as a Labour candidate.

It is particularly going that a right wing Tory has been welcomed into the party while long time Labour MPs have the whip removed. Despicable.

Starmer welcomes into the Labour Party as odious Tory woman but victimises a principled and groundbreaking and decades-long Labour member Diane Abbot. Shame on him. Reinstate her now!

If Natalie Elphicke is admitted to the Labour Party as an MP, it is shameful that Diane Abbott still has the whip withdrawn.

Reinstate her whip is a joke so many other disgusting dirty politicians have had there’s reinstated and she is still out in the wilderness, is disgusting
