Reinstate Coach Hoyt and Coach Andolina to their rightful position

coach hoyt was the teacher who made the difference for my son; changed his life around. How many transformative teachers did any of us have? Mark as i knew him 30 years ago was a fabulous man.

I can't believe the ignorance of the people who are supporting this human, he doesn't deserve to be called a man. For those of us who know or are a parent of a child sexually harassed, molested and ridiculed by this pig, it is hard to believe you would all be that ignorant as to why these two have been removed. Get your heads out of the sand, have some compassion for the victims, stop your ignorant petition!

As a 34 year resident of Brighton and the parent of 2 BHS graduates I fully support Coaches Hovt and Andolina to remain in the softball and wrestling positions for our youth programs.

I thought the agreement between coach Hoyt and the Brighton community was that he would be able to coach both the softball and wrestling teams

This is an email that was sent to players - I love the last sentence the most!!!! Dear Members of the Brighton Softball Program, I am writing to you today regarding the coaching assignments for next year, particularly as they pertain to Coach Hoyt. I am hoping to provide you with some information and offer you an opportunity to express your feelings more directly at a meeting tomorrow. First and foremost, we are very sorry that many of you are upset by the way that this has been communicated thus far. It is never our goal to put our students or staff in upsetting, unsettling or hurtful situations. We would have preferred that this situation be handled very differently. We expected that you would have received different communication and feel hampered by our inability to speak as freely on sensitive personnel matters. These situations are never easy, especially when everyone involved is not able to be a part of the entire discussion. Per a district personnel decision, Coach Hoyt will not be the Varsity Softball Coach next year. Brighton coaching assignments are all made by appointment for the upcoming season only. Upon completion of the season, an evaluation of the coach is made and a discussion takes place regarding rehiring for the following year. The discussions that take place between an employee and the district regarding specific evaluation criteria or concerns are of a confidential nature. Although this decision is not one that will be revisited, we will continue to be open to hearing your feelings on the issue. We would like to try and answer your questions as well, but will be limited in what we can say to you. Myself, Assistant Superintendent Lou Alaimo, Mr. Kilian, Board of Education President Mark Kokanovich and Board of Education Vice President Julene Gilbert will be available tomorrow from 4-5pm in the Board of Education Room to hear your concerns and try to answer your questions. As a former player of Coach Hoyt, I have nothing but fond memories. He is an amazing man who had an extremely positive influence in my life both on and off the field. I'm honored to have played for him.

Get rid of Hoyt? Really? I say get rid of McGowan and Killian. As a former student and athlete of Hoyt he is still to this day one of the most positive influences in my adult life. I am proud and honored to have had him be a part of my and my 3 kids life. Kris Voss BHS Class of 1986
