all students attending school, whatever their age, should be granted a bus pass, regardless of loication & distance.

think about our sons & daughters. Would you let your child walk to school via a male dominated industrial area?

Not fair for students who now have to walk on busy roads with little or no footpaths. Needs some government official with some common sense, to go out to Smeaton Grange and walk the walk!

I worry about the safety of the kids if they have to walk to school.

This all comes down to the Safety of our children. How can you expect any child to walk over 2kms to school with a heavy back pack on their back and cross a 6 lane road in a 80 Km Zone. there is no direct route for our children which doesn’t not put them at harm. This is also effect students walking through Smeaton grange industrial area. This road is dangerous at the best of times and is only going to get worse. I think all students should have free bus passes in order to ease traffic congestion on our roads.

That's so rediculous there needs to be an apportunity for everyone to have the opption of transport. Crazy decision.

It's is an unsafe area across 2 major service stations, no crossings or footpaths. Let's not wait until a child accidentally falls on to a busy road and is hit

My daughter who goes to Mt Annan Christian College was also cancelled and she is 12 tomorrow. She has to walk through a bush reserve to get to Mt Anna Drive or walk around the long way and then get across Narellan Road. Just too far and not safe with all these weirdos out there. From door to door its over 3 kms, absolutely ridiculous. Her two sisters who go to the same school still have their bus passes

My 12yo son has to walk passed 2 driveways that belong to a service station on Narellan road,to get to a non cement 'footpath' where the length of the grass has been at knee length & then cross the busy school road with no marked crossing.

It is not safe for my 12 year old nephew to walk across a main road, through service stations and car parks to get home. You wouldn't be happy with your family walking there so don't force mine to do it!
