I strongly believe that this Cabinet member should be reinstated.

I am only too glad that someone has started this petition. The deselection of Andrew Curtin is an absolute disgrace. No one could have worked harder for Havering and his party than Andrew and I say this as an ex Labour Mayor of Havering. Could you not take this further and get it in the Recorder to get more publicity and encourage lots more people to sign.

The arts are important and Andrew is a knowledgable person of the arts, to whom the culture of Romford requires to necessitate the furtherance of the arts in this borough.

WHY has such an experienced Councillor been deselected?. His duties are performed for the public and the public should be told WHY THIS DECISION has been taken by his party?

Andrew has made a positive and tangible difference to our local community and strongly feel he should be reinstated.

It is outrageous that someone who has worked so hard in the borough can summarily be ousted for no obvious reason

I am NOT a conservative supporter but have found Andrew Curtin to be a very approachable and supportive councillor. It is very disappointing that he is no longer available as a councillor. Perhaps he should stand as an independant.

Andrew has been always helpful and a very visible and active local member of the party. A true credit to his party. It can only be the communities loss that he not represent us in the future. A real real shame.

Keep Andrew Curtin in a position where he is of use to electorate and DO NOT deselect him

I have always found Andrew to be positive, supportive and as he is my local councillor I have called on him to help many times. I have also written to various people in the conservative party both locally and centrally for an explanation as to why Andrew has been deselected and have yet to receive any response perhaps this petition will cause them to take some action.

I find it inconceivable and ludicrous that one of our hardest working Cabinet Member and Councillors has been deselected. As Secretary of a local Friends of Parks Group I have found him to be intelligent, innovative, effective, hard working communicative and inspirational.. I feel that his deselection has been as a result of a feeling of threat and insecurity and perhaps jealousy as he is popular and a real people [person and that he has done so much for the arts, culture and green spaces of Havering. It is appalling that he is being treated this way and I will certainly be considering very carefully who i will vote for next spring.

Outrageous that one of the very best ever Havering councillors has been deselected. If this is correct then my vote along with many others will go to another party! Come to your senses and reselect Andrew immediately!

Andrew is a very active and supportive councillor - I am bewildered that the local conservatives should want to deselect him. We have a right to an explanation!

Andrew is an asset to Havering arts. He should not be allowed to get away

This is an unfair use of power and should be stopped.

I am very saddened to hear this disgraceful news. I have been fortunate to meet Andrew Curtin and can echo what an intelligent, passionate, interested and enthusiastic man he is. He is the type of man I want representing the best interests of Havering community on the council. I hope an investigation will follow.

This would be a great loss for Havering and the artistic community. Havering needs to be a place that welcomes cultural and artistic growth and Andrew Curtin has proven himself to be good at this!
