As a voter in Vermilion County, I believe that the Airport has been very well managed in recent years. New and well run airport activities have been offered to engage broader local community participation. .
Safety and policy concerns have been a priority.
I think the recent manager must be reinstated, as the public track record has been excellent.

Alex should remain in this airport position. She has produced needed change and the “old boys” club should be put out of commission. Let Alex stay. The future needs her.

The Airport Board should reinstate or offer detailed transparency as a government body on why Alex Gale was suspended.

I have known Alex for nearly 10 years now, and in that time, she has shown nothing but passion for aviation and for bettering Vermilion County. She has had tremendous success in her short tenure as airport manager, and the board's behind- closed- doors decision to push her out is suspicious for far sketchier decisions. She earned her position by her own merit, and deserves to be reinstated to maintain the momentum she's already started in making the airport such a critically pivotal piece of an already struggling community.

I am appalled that Alex and her family has to go through this. Alex has been an asset to the VRA and the VRA is lucky to have her as the manager.

As a lifelong VC resident, I had no idea the airport was this active until Ms Gale became the manager.

She is a manager with extremely rare qualities, leads by example and works in the trenches with grounds crew and maintenance

Alex has also leveled the Tax Base, Part of the county was taxed and part of it was not, during her tenure this was corrected, she did not list it as a part of her personal accomplishments, yet I do know that it occurred during her tenure. Alex is one of the finest young women in our county and has earned her position at the airport, further this board has been known to micro manage the directors off the job repeatedly, this is the 4th or 5th one in less than a decade if my memory serves me correctly. Now that we finally have a nearly perfect fit for the position they are ultimately power tripping because Alex is a Strong, intelligent, earnest and honest Woman setting under an all white male board. Imagine that. I met Alex about a decade ago while working launching and landing hot air balloons, It only took me one day to know that Alex was an honest hard working person with a great deal of skills and goals in life. This has zero to do with her actual performance and a great deal to do with the ego of the board and a few disgruntled citizens who do not like being told they have to play by the rules, and possibly trying to place a personal friend into the position. Alex will help Vermilion County Grow. There is a reason we lost 10% of our population in the last census, too much good ole boys running the entire county and not enough, intelligence, integrity, honesty and decency running the county. Reinstate Alex Immediately and get off your power trip.

I have know Alex for well over a decade and in that time I have only ever know her to be a woman of honor and integrity, and her work has been a great benefit to the airport and all of Vermilion County. I find it unfathomable that she would do something to warrant this sort of conduct from the board.

She seemed to have accomplished a lot of important difficult tasks that was entrusted to her, keeping her for that duration! something along the way happened for her to have lost her position! usually jobs seek another’s assistance to get the job up and going until it’s where they want it then let go of the very same person whom deserve that credit ( my opinion) but what is the valid reason??? Did she steal? Defraud? Take a plane?? Fudge numbers?? Give the woman back her job
