Uncle Al is wits, he changed the wits pub back into the Jomos of past, he brought life back into the pub. If this petition gets out to the university, I not for one minute doubt that he will have to be reinstated. I have never heard one bad word about the man nor met a disgruntled member. I can guarantee you that if he is asked to leave that pub will be a one man horse town. Uncle Al to run the pub !!!!!!

Uncle Al and Jomos go hand in hand! As a Witsie I'm disgusted by the way this is being handled.

Alan Leonard is a living legend of Wits Rugby. He has been a true club man and leader. To lose "Big/Uncle" Al would a huge loss to wits rugby and the university.

This is utter dogs bollocks!!! Uncle Al is the backbone of the club and has made playing for the club all the more amazing. I can't tell you the amount of times I have spoken to guys from other clubs and how they have said how Uncle Al has made the clubhouse such a great place to go. Wits the away game that clubs look forward because of the atmosphere at Jomo's. If Uncle Al goes, so do I and I'm sure awhole bunch of other players as well. But looking at how Wits treated Uncle Al, I doubt they would even care!!!
