Its a difficult job, one that I have always found well done by Alan. Don't try and fix what's not broken.wits rugby and jomo's have been a very pleasurable part of my life over many years.

They have no idea how much Al does behind the scenes. All the little things. All the small donations. The big donations. Keeping the club spirit going by always being available.... I suppose there will no longer be a reason for this Witsie to visit Jomos again

This just goes to show you that the hierarchy don't have a clue what goes on at grassroot level and this is where a club and people learn about being a club man ! But if this process goes through my loyalty and support leave with Uncle Al.

Alan provides a personal and dedicated service to the Wits Rugby Clubhouse (Jomos). With my dealings with him to organize braais and events at Jomos for Varsity Kudus running club, he was always helpful, professional and friendly. It makes no sense that Alan should be asked to leave within 6 days!

How can Wits even think of doing such a thing? Remember The Wits Club and Hofmeyr House. Doing it again and again.

I was so shocked to hear about this. It's terrible. Alan has run the pub so well and been so supportive all Wits sports groups. His doors were always open to us at the running club and he help connect us with the rugby club. I can't imagine the rugby club without Alan.
