Who came up with the crazy idea to eliminate age splits?! Not a sound decision in the interest of our youngsters..and oldsters! We need more amateurs of all ages showing if we want to keep our industry vital. Why on earth take away classes to make room for Egyptian halter classes?

There has always been a division between ages for a reason. The most important being, the ring experience the older riders have. We cannot expect young junior riders to have the competence, confidence and the ring savvy of older riders. Out of fairness to all, please keep age splits. Thank you.

Every sport has divisions based on age, this one should not be different. Children & young adults should NEVER compete against Adults, they should LEARN from them & aspire to be like them.

I am in agreement with so many here. Having no select classes in Sport Horse this year is very discouraging to my two new youth riders who will be competing at Region 12 for the first time. It is important to offer opportunities for our newer Arabian riders to succeed at our shows or they will be discouraged. These parents spend large amounts of money to see their children grow and succeed. If Regional 12 and AHA want our industry to grow, they cannot take these opportunities away from our newer riders. Please bring age splits and Select rider classes back.

I will not be attending the region 12 show if I am being forced to show with JTR and the 18-39 riders. This is a regional show not a class A show. I was planning to attend Regions 12, 9 and 14 but if the performance classes are not split I will not be attending 12 unfortunately.
