Final supporters
The School for International Training, a study abroad provider with hundreds of students, has not followed the lead of many higher education institutions and is refusing to even partially refund the room & board costs that students paid after the cancellation of their programs.
SIT must acknowledge that this unprecedented situation impacts students equally (if not more) than it does their institution, and that the economic burden of keeping their institution afloat should not fall on students. Any recoverable room and board money should be returned to students who, since their repatriation home, have now been double-paying for food, etc.

The emails I receive from you all detailing the financial strain of these canceled programs are heavy. My inbox is full of stories about double rent and lost savings while the administration remains quiet. I am exhausted by their lack of accountability but I am not walking away from this fight.

My son had to move back home on a weeks notice and we are still paying for housing here plus the thousands we already gave SIT. This is totally unfair.
THEY WONT EVEN ANSWER THE PHONE. Absolute robbery.
SIT is ridiculous - telling us that they may be forced to close down if they return us partial room and board. Don't all institutions and organizations have something called savings - or are students their piggy bank since they apparently don't plan for the future at all?
Still waiting on a call back from SIT from three weeks ago, said it was "urgent"

Why is the burden solely on the students? My budget is completely blown because they wont refund the board fees when the program ended early.
