Charlie & Lola are adult micro pigs currently living at the Ark Pet store, torquay. This petition is to try and get them rehomed to a more suitable place like a farm or somewhere where they can be themselves and enjoy the rest of their life as a pig not an attraction! The area they have to live in at the pet shop was fine for piglets and we have enjoyed watching them grow but as fully grown micro pigs they need so much more and the opportunities to enjoy mud and fields. Although they have an outside area, it just has some fake grass and no opportunity to forage and dig around in mud or any other piggy activities. It is just not an adequate space for these mini pigs They have no enrichment and always look so bored all the time! On recent visits (I shop there a couple of times a week and my daughter drags me in to see the pigs daily - so we see them regularly) Charlie has been seriously attacking Lola! This is not a petition against the the Ark store - I love the pet shop and the staff are really friendly and helpful and they clearly love the pigs and look after them - their overall health is not in question. However who else feels its not fair to keep these piggies cooped up?? perhaps if we can get enough people to sign the people in charge will listen!!
