This move to “restructuring” and getting rid of two amazing coaches was completely and utterly disrespectful to their years of service and dedication to the Mizzou teams they coaches! Bring back the head Cheerleading and Golden Girls coaches!!

Suzy has been a dynamic leader in all aspects of her career. Not only at the college level, but helping high school cheerleaders to attain their goals. A real Tiger!!!

As a Mizzou alum and athletics supporter I am so disheartened by this turn of events. Suzy has been a staple at Mizzou and has given her life supporting MU and it’s student athletes.

Suzy is my former high school coach. My mentor for the years that I coached cheerleading and most importantly a treasured friend that did not deserve to be treated in this fashion. Rehire her!
If you want to save money.... take the salaries of the cheer and dance coaches out of The head football or basketball coach! Maybe that will give them incentive to turn their programs into the types of family based, student focused program that Suzy has!

Suzy was Mizzou cheerleading. Respected by her athletes and peers. This was handled very poorly by Mizzou and is a reflection of how you treat your coaches, athletes and teams. I hope you #makeitright

Mrs. Suzy Thompson and her husband Mr. Walt Thompson are salt of the earth quality people who have positively impacted every youth they have coached, mentored, mothered and fathered over the last 30-40 years as educators and coaches!!! Suzy is the embodiment of spirit for any program whether be highschool or over the past 26 years at Missouri University!!! Do yourself a favor and model the ethos that you expect from the students and staff of MU by doing the correct action and eat that slice of humble pie and re-instate, re-hire, and bring back a legend in Coach Suzy Thompson immediately!
