Clinton/Benton, Maine residents: Mike Hachey was summarily dismissed from his position of Director of the Clinton/Benton Solid Waste Transfer and Recycling Station by Town Manager Earla Haggerty, without the support of the Clinton/Benton community and in violation of the Clinton Personnel Policy which states: "Involuntary Termination. Involuntary termination of any employee who has completed the probationary period must only be for cause, after notice and hearing". As you can see from the attached picture, notice and hearing were provided AFTER the termination in violation of the policy. Please show your support for Mike by signing this petition to have him reinstated in his position without prejudice.

The silence from the town office is becoming heavy but it only confirms why we started this fight in the first place. I hear from more of you every day about how much Mike meant to our facility and I am not backing down until we see some accountability.

It's absolutely ridiculous that Haggerty has been given a little power and its gone to her head... Mike is awesome and should be hired back immediately. Maybe consider getting rid of her (Haggerty).
