Donna has done more for our kids in ten years than the council has done in twenty. Bring her back or explain to the taxpayers why you think our parks can run themselves!
This action removes vital support to the youth of Torrington. It in effect abandons the youth to the likes of the long-festering plague of Black Tar Heroin, so long ignored, that is rampant in town.
Donna Golembeski Winn Deserves Better... Budget cuts are NOT more important then the people that give their heart and soul to our city. I urge everyone that understands the of value and commitment of Donna's contribution to our city to please sign this petition asking the City Council to reinstate her position as Recreation Director for the City of Torrington.
fyi...there is a lag time when someone signs to what is shown on the main screen. I can see (and i can print out) the signatures and it's showing to me that we have 148 signatures but it only says 130 for the moment on the main screen. bear that in mind.
Thank you J. Timothy Quirk for recognizing worthwhile people and sound economic decisions. Perhaps YOU should run for a position in city council! Apparently you don't need to be certified as an accountant or hold any pedigree of financial acumen to agree to eliminate an entire position in town! :)
