This hurts my heart to hear. I've worked many years with bark in the park and have loved every second of it. I always see her there with a smile on her face helping out in any way possible. It wouldn't be the same without her.

To Mr Larry Cochran,
I am the owner of The Breeze Cafe in St Charles Parish and have been knowing Angie Robert for over 13 years. I remember when the shelter was under the bridge and Angie vowed to build a bigger, better, healthier, animal friendlier and World class shelter for abandoned, lost and abused animals. A shelter where families can go and have the opportunity to choose a family pet in a healthy and safe environment. A shelter where animals have a better chance for adoption and life. She held fundraisers every year until that dream became a reality and whenever she asked for help I would not hesitate to do what I could in this pursuit. There is no question how dedicated Angie is to animals of all types. Her heart is larger than life and this is evident by the dedication she has given to this Shelter. Her family has been her biggest support in her lifes work and they are always there by her side helping and nurturing these helpless animals. I know there is no one more compassionate, qualified or equaled to the safety and health of animals than Angie Robert. I ask You, St Charles Parish President Larry Cochran to consider Angie Robert for the Position of Animal Director of the St Charles Parish Animal Shelter.
Thank You, Mary Locantro

Angie has worked very hard to improve the conditions of the old animal shelter. The state has held an unannounced inspection of our shelter and we scored an outstanding rating. Angie has worked hard to save animals that are adoptable. She works with animals that have problems so that the bad habits can be broken and the animal is then adoptable. We want Angie to continue to be the director of the animal shelter.

I realize that, as Parish President elect, has the right to staff as he chooses. However, we did not elect him to fill positions as political reward at the detriment of the animals that are lost, abandoned, abused and neglected in this Parish. Angie Robert has been outstanding in her dedication to such creatures for over a decade. Moreover in her 8 year tenure as director she has excelled and moved a highly questionable shelter to one of the top in the state. I see this simply as political payoff at the expense of the shelter and the welfare of animals.

For more than a decade, Angie Robert has rescued and protected abandoned, neglected, and abused animals in St. Charles Parish with passion and compassion. She showed up year after year to help our animals when the physical conditions of our old shelter were deplorable. Over the last eight years in her capacity as Director, she has guided our parish to build, maintain and continually improve our new facility. I have personally witnessed Angie's dedication, professionalism, and excellence. She has earned the right to retain her position as Director. We cannot afford, or tolerate, the loss of such a proven community leader! I am grateful each day that Angie saw a spark of something special in both of my sweet dogs, one of whom resided at the shelter for over five months. Mr. Cochran, please do not bring shame on our parish and your new administration by refusing to re-hire Angie.

I for one know what it feels like to loose a job that I absolutely love & I wish I had somebody to do this for me at that time. I really hope this helps you. If I could sign this a million times for you, I would. I hope this helps you. Good Luck!!
