Please consider the regulation of (absolutely necessary) private water companies throughout the state to improve service, quality, and fair pricing for everyone. We live in Greene County.

Piedmont water pricing is absolutely outrageous AND people are always complaining about the quality of the water and the destruction it causes to appliances and hardware. I refuse to drink it, but am forced to shower with it.
The sheer volume of dissatisfied outraged customers is enough to warrant investigation and regulation.
It is very clearly a monopoly. We have NO other choice for a water provider and therefore are forced to pay their ridiculous prices.

I have seen friends get taken advantage of of some very outrageous water prices. I do not believe that a company should be able to function as a water supplier without proper regulation. Proper regulation should prevent the billing nightmares people are currently going through. As a small business owner I do not take advantage of my customers, I call most my friends and treat every customer as one.
