This apartment complex definitely needs something for compost, at least having yard debris bins. Are there successful methods that Capital Management uses at other buildings?

By the way you would mind posting your apartment #? So that Capital knows who we are. Thanks.

Thank you, Lorie, I totally agree. It was a mess without Capital managing it, and with only one bin, there was not enough time for the waste matter to decompose.

Hannah, the city operated yard debris bin is only for dry yard debris and not for wet food waste, that's why we don't have that.

Is there a reason why we can't just get a yard debris bin like the other residents in the neighborhood have and put our compost into that? I know that the city of Portland has a compost program--can we just tap into that?

I only support this if Capital manages the bins. The other compost was overflowing with rotting food. It was bringing raccoons and rats. Plus it smelled and was gross. I do support Tara's idea of Capital managing the bins and helps us reduce waste. Thanks
