Subject: Petition regarding non-refund of caution money of D.El.Ed trainees of District Institute of Education and Training, Saidpur
Respected Sir,
With due respect, we, the undersigned students, humbly submit this petition for your kind consideration and necessary intervention.
We are trainees of the 2022 batch of D.El.Ed course at DIET Saidpur, Ghazipur. At the time of admission, each trainee deposited a caution money of ₹2500, as per institutional norms. However, it is a matter of deep concern that the said caution money has not been refunded till date and has been kept on hold since the year 2024, without assigning any valid reason or written explanation.
Sir, more than 150 students of our batch are affected by this issue. Moreover, it is important to bring to your notice that every year around 200 students take admission, and each student deposits ₹2500 as caution money. This amounts to a total of ₹5,00,000 (Five Lakh Rupees) collected every year. Shockingly, the caution money of not even a single batch has been refunded so far, which raises serious concerns regarding transparency and accountability.
Despite repeated verbal requests and representations to the concerned authorities, no concrete action has been taken, and students continue to face unnecessary hardship. Many trainees come from economically weak backgrounds, for whom this amount is significant.
Therefore, we humbly request you to kindly:
1-Order an immediate inquiry into the matter of non-refund of caution money at DIET Saidpur, Ghazipur.
2-Direct the concerned authorities to refund the pending caution money without further delay to all eligible students.
3-Ensure that such issues do not arise in the future and that proper financial accountability is maintained.
We shall be highly grateful to you for your kind intervention and justice in this matter.
Thanking you.
Yours faithfully,
The Trainees
D.El.Ed Batch 2022
DIET Saidpur, Ghazipur
