I have started this petition in protest at a 25% increase in weekly student fares by Regal Busways. Some students, including myself are dependant on this bus company to get to university and to impose such a sharp hike in fares in one step is blatantly unfair and an abuse of their position. Their increase imposed on students is the highest percentage wise of all fare rises and completely disregards the tight financial situation all students are in. Even if you don't travel by this company and have no such problems in getting to Chelmsford I sincerely hope you will be able to empathise with those of us who do and sign it in support.
